Travelling abroad? How early to book your travel vaccines
Some courses take weeks to complete. A simple timeline for planning your travel health appointment.

Aim to book your travel health appointment six to eight weeks before you fly. Some vaccines, such as rabies and hepatitis B, are given as a course over several weeks.
Even at short notice it is worth coming in. Partial protection is better than none, and we can advise on malaria tablets, bite avoidance and travel first aid.
Our pharmacists check your destination, the areas you are visiting and what you will be doing there, then recommend only what you actually need.
You leave with a written record of everything given, which is useful for future trips and for any certificate requirements.
