Ear wax removal: what actually happens at your appointment
Microsuction is quick, dry and comfortable. Here is a step-by-step look at the appointment from start to finish.

Microsuction uses gentle suction under direct vision to lift wax out of the ear canal: no water, no mess and no guesswork.
We examine both ears first. If there is an underlying problem such as an infection or a perforation, we will stop and refer you rather than proceed.
Most appointments take under 30 minutes and people usually notice the difference straight away.
Softening drops for a few days beforehand make the procedure quicker, but they are not essential.
